Yoo Clothing was started by Yohani in Sri Lanka, out of a simple idea: clothes people actually reach for every day shouldn't have to choose between comfort and craft. We began with kurtis made the way they've always been made here, and grew from there into everyday pieces built on the same standard.
Every piece is made in small batches in Sri Lanka, with care for the hands that make it and the person who'll wear it. Nothing is rushed through — we'd rather make less and get it right.
Why Yoo
"Yoo" is short, easy to say, and easy to remember — which is exactly how we want getting dressed to feel. No fuss, nothing complicated, just clothes that fit into your day.
We started with kurtis because that's what Yohani knew best, and because there was room to make them better — more comfortable, better fitted, made to actually be worn often rather than saved for occasions.
From there we added everyday pieces built the same way: made in Sri Lanka, in small runs, with the same attention whether it's a kurti or a basic tee.
